Américas Book Award
The Consortium of Latin American Studies programs selects two works (primary and secondary reading levels) each year that "authentically and engagingly portray Latin America, the Caribbean, or Latinos in the United States."

Pura Belpré Awards

Each year the American Library Association and REFORMA selects the work of Latino/a authors and illustrators that “best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth.”

Tomás Rivera Mexican American Children’s Book Award

Awarded each year by the Texas State University College of Education to “honor authors and illustrators who create literature that depicts the Mexican American experience.”

School Library Journal Reviews

Includes lists of the best Spanish children's and YA titles of the past few years, programming ideas, and other valuable collection development tips.

International Latino Book Awards

Co-sponsored by Las Comadres de las Americas, Latino Literacy Now, the Instituto Cervantes and REFORMA, these awards honor and promote Latino publishers and authors.

Premio Atzlán Literary Prize

Founded by famed Latino writer Rudolfo Anaya and his wife, Patricia, this award honors emerging Chicano/a writers.

Sor Juana de la Cruz Prize
Presented annually at FIL, this award honors a works of fiction by Latin American women.

Publishers Weekly

Throughout the year PW periodically releases a roundup of their coverage of the Spanish-language market.

America Reads Spanish

A campaign developed by The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) and the Spanish Association of Publishers Guilds (FGEE) with the goal of increasing the popularity and accessibility of Spanish-language materials in the US.  Includes literary news, new releases and bestseller lists.
